What Skills do you have that make you a good Instructor? |
Having started Kuk Sool back in 1989 I have been exposed to some of the ways that Kuk Sool has evolved. This has given me an insight to several ways in which the syllabus can be practiced and ultimately, taught. I suppose by this I mean experience is my skill. |
What has Kuk Sool given you? |
A great sense of achievement, motivation and confidence. There is no feeling like that of being awarded your blackbelt. It is a reward that represents years of hard work and dedication. Since my promotion I have felt the responsibility of my rank and the expectation that goes with it, this gives you the motivation to train even more than before embracing Kuk sool even further. |
What do you feel you can give back to Kuk Sool? |
I hope that knowing what it is like to gain the promotion of Jo Kyo Nym I can inspire the students to train. I offer commitment and enthusiasm to all my class mates regardless of their rank. |
As an instructor what do you feel you specialise in? |
Techniques and Throwing |
In your opinion, which part of the syllabus did you enjoy most before getting your black belt? |
Red Belt
This part of the syllabus for me represented a level where things became more complicated and I started to feel more of a martial artist. I think that being a Red Belt means that you start to have peers in the class and students start to look up to you and hope to gain from your experiences. |
