KUK SOOL WON: bASIC kOREAN tERMINOLOGY

Basic Korean Terminology for Students of Kuk Sool Won

 Hangul has 14 basic consonants and 10 basic vowels. It should be noted that the romanised (English) spelling of Korean words can be very variable.
 For example: the letters 'b' & 'p' are more or less interchangeable.
 The same applies to 'g' & 'k', 't' & 'd', 'r' & 'l', 'j' & 'ch', and 'u' & 'oo'

Korea has 2 systems of counting: The Korean system and a system adopted from Chinese called Sino-Korean. Both systems are in use, but are used for counting different things.
